The Venerosi Pesciolini family settled near the Tuscan coast in the beautiful hills near Pisa in the late 14th Century. They started bottling wine for sale (rather keeping their wines for themselves) in 1985, went organic in 2008 and have biodynamic certification from their 2018 vintages. Their wines are also certified vegetarian and vegan.
Now in the hands of Ginevra Pesciolini, her philosophy involves blending new innovations with traditional methods. Using natural, wild yeasts and pressing the grapes under foot. Moving to larger format oak casks for better tannin integration and flavour development and reducing the amount of new oak in her SuperTuscan wine, Veneroso. Her wines regularly wine awards.
